Complete Pump and Motor Skid Overhaul for Saskatchewan Farm Irrigation System

When a local Saskatchewan farm noticed their irrigation skid was making noise from the pump and motor, they brought it in to us at Sebo Pump. This system powers multiple pivots and moves water uphill with the help of a vacuum auto-prime, so downtime wasn’t an option.

What We Found:
Once we had it in the shop, we went over the full package. The wear was clear, bearings, sleeves, and seals had all seen better days. The alignment was off too. We knew a partial fix wouldn’t cut it.

What We Did:

  • Replaced two bearings in the pump and two in the motor

  • Skimmed the impeller eye to a flat, smooth surface and custom-made an oversized wear ring to restore factory tolerances

  • Replaced the impeller sleeve and shaft sleeve

  • Installed a new mechanical seal

  • Laser-aligned the entire skid for smooth, efficient operation

  • Sandblasted the unit in-house to clean it up and protect it for the long term

This is how we ensure the pump performs like new with zero signs of wear.

From start to finish, everything was done right here in our facility. It left our shop not only running like new, but looking like new too.

The Result:
The farm got their system back just in time for peak irrigation season. It’s running quiet, smooth, and ready to handle heavy water demand without skipping a beat.

We’ll let the before-and-after photos and video do the rest of the talking.
